This is the Federal Correctional Institute commissary list that is used to sell stuff to the inmates.

As you can see by this list they make money by selling stuff to the inmates at rip off prices. Compare this commissary list to the commissary list at Sheriff Joe Arpaio gulag at Maricopa County Jail. Sheriff Joe is such an asshole he doesn't even put prices on his list. At least this federal prison is kind enough to put prices on the list so the inmates know what they will be charged when they buy stuff. But both commissaries have rip off prices that steal money from the inmates' families.

Inmates is a bad word to describe the people jailed here. They are really slaves and they are forced to work at dirt cheep wages. Laro gets 5 cents an hour.

And remember slaverly is still legal in the USA. The 13th amendment of the U.S. Constitution allows slavery to be used as a punishment for crimes.

Article XIII.

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
